Cemetery fees shown are based upon the example Brighton & Hove City Council resident charges. Cemetery charges and eligibility can vary, and the cost may also differ where an existing family grave is used.
A meaningful funeral doesn’t have to include every traditional element. There are several ways we can help reduce the overall cost while still arranging a personal and dignified funeral.
Instead of using a traditional hearse and full team of bearers, we can take your loved one to the funeral venue beforehand and have the coffin respectfully in place before family and friends arrive.

For a burial, a short service at the graveside can avoid the additional cost of hiring a crematorium chapel or other venue.
Families are welcome to lead the service themselves or write their own eulogy or tribute, which can also reduce officiant costs.
